The colour emerald conjures up images of a cool, vibrant tone with a touch of decadence and harmony.  It also happens to be the Pantone 2013 Colour of the Year and the inspiration for the photo shoot by Style My Celebration.

The vision was to create a truly glamorous dinner party atmosphere while keeping it young and fresh. This was achieved by pairing the emerald with some silver sparkle and adding in striking chevron stripes, along with just the right amount of ‘bling’.

A party isn’t complete without champagne and dessert so a ‘Bubbly & Sweets’ table dedicated to those two elements was styled.  The hero of the table had to be the sequin table cloth which shimmered in the light. The table also boasted a beautiful floral display set in a large apothecary style vase and a simple white photo frame with silver sequin ribbon to offset the sign.

The two-tier birthday cake was covered in white fondant and featured a chevron stripe. More stripes appeared on the cupcakes while speckled, silver cake pops were presented on white platters and candy jars were filled with silver chocolate sixlets. A bottle of pink, French champagne completed the stunning combination.

Behind the table floated giant, silver and emerald balloons festooned with delicate hand-cut tissue garlands and ribbon.  The three panels of the backdrop stand were covered in an emerald green satin and can be customised to suit any event theme.

The dinner party table was covered to the floor with a silver L’amour satin cloth and surrounded by crystal Tiffany chairs. The long floral arrangement on the table showcased a beautiful combination of seasonal flowers in shades of white, ivory and blush and some cleverly painted in silver. The attention given to all these details brought out the best in this elegant emerald theme.
