Confetti Fair® was born in 2012, the brainchild of Claire Cassey, a talented creative with a design, event management and publishing background. Claire was inspired to start Confetti Fair after organising her son’s first birthday.
With the mission of making it easier for DIY party planners to find party suppliers and service providers, Claire established Confetti Fair as a hub for all things celebrating with an expo and later, print publications.
The expo was, in fact, a ’boutique party fair’, a beautiful visual and interactive experience which did indeed ‘bring parties to life’ as the tagline promised, and the first party fair in Australia. 2013 saw the Fair established on a national level, starting from Sydney, to Melbourne and even Perth by 2014.
In 2013, Claire published Confetti Fair’s first book, Celebrate with Australian Stylists, and by early 2014 the stage had been set for the first magazine, a legacy that continues until this day.
In 2016, Claire passed the fairy wand onto Esther Kefaloukos.
Esther also had a passion for parties and events, having been the go-to party planner for friends and family. This culminated in the creation of her little candy and dessert styling business – Sugarplum Station.
With her love of parties ever-growing, Esther jumped on the opportunity to be part of Confetti Fair. Esther has a background in events, account management and digital marketing. Since 2016 Esther has been cementing Confetti Fair’s reputation as an online party hub.

February 2014 – The first print magazine is launched
February 2014 – Claire is nominated for Ausmumpreneur Award and Confetti Fair is nominated for a Telstra Business Award
Aug 2014 – Confetti Fair visits Perth and Adelaide
October 2016 – Esther takes over Confetti Fair
February 2017 – First Mini Mag is released
December 2017 – Final print mag, Issue 7 is released
March 2018 – First Party Trend Guide is released
September 2018 – Industry podcast launched
October 2019 – First magazine annual edition is released United States of Party, signalling a return to print and bringing over 200 global creators together for the party world’s biggest collaboration!
