Nothing beats getting together with your closest friends for a fabulous ladies luncheon.  The elegant soirée styled by Ashdown & Bee and held in the garden of a private residence was no exception.

The inspiration for the theme was based on a love of spring, flamingos and the striking combination of pink with emerald green.

Guests were greeted with a hand-drawn chalkboard sign, welcoming and directing them to the garden where the party was held. Pennant style name tags were hung from classic wooden bentwood chairs with gorgeous white typography – hand detailed for each guest. Prep-style emerald green paper placemats were created to ground the place settings and to enhance the vivid colour scheme. The wooden cutlery neatly placed on the mats was custom-created with thick white stripes.

Ombre style roses in clear, glass jars adorned the table and were arranged beautifully from white to hot pink with little plastic flamingos sitting on top as props. The tablescape included white linen napkins with white crockery and handwritten menus, while table drinks were served in crystal wine glasses and topped with pretty, edible flowers.

The beverage table boasted two drink dispensers filled with colour themed garnishes in dynamic, enticing colours. Guests could choose from water infused with mint and cucumber or pink lemonade and lychee martini.  The drinks were served from jam jars with retro striped straws for pre or post lunch drinks.

After lunch, the ladies sat down for dessert on the upholstered loveseats which were arranged charmingly in the garden.  The dessert table showcased inviting sweets including a hot pink and white striped cake with a sugar peony; gold glittered cake pops and flower cookies; and flavoured meringues and marshmallows.  The chalkboard backdrop gave a fun and quirky vibe for the afternoon soirée.
