An Arctic wonderland birthday party

A few of our favourite things from this party included the gorgeous backdrop illustrations, the beautifully decorated donuts and beautiful balloon accents.

Lisa gives us the details:

Our inspiration for this beautiful party was winter. The birthday girl was born in the month of January, so we wanted to represent the cold weather by using white and blue tones as well as a big polar bear. The guest of honour loved ballerinas, so we incorporated a ballerina with a blue tutu illustrated by Karamfila as well as the fairy mouse to add that fairytale touch to the party. We hope you like it as much as we did.

The illustrations were truly stunning.

We challenged 23 talented party vendors to design a party inspired by a USA location.

Lovely Occasions drew inspiration from Alaska’s icy landscape, to design a perfect destination bridal shower.

What made you choose your shoot location for United States of Party?

Alaska and Brisbane are worlds apart in climate and landscape, so we were very excited to find the pop up igloo bars that Customs House sets up during the winter months along the Brisbane River.

What inspired your shoot?

Inspired by the igloo hotels with clear curved windows in Alaska and the trend of remote destination weddings, we wanted to create an bridal shower celebration that could be transported, set up and styled anywhere in the world.

Did you incorporate any current party trends or DIYs in your shoot? If yes, what were they?

This destination bridal shower only uses items that would be able to be packed in a suitcase to a destination event. All the partyware and decorations are DIY from the air- inflated balloon garland to the bonbon favours. Easy to put together, these items can be taken with you to any destination so the you can fully plan and style the event before you leave and easily set up when you arrive!
