She's a gem! A purple and rose gold 45th birthday celebration

Carly from Sassy Snaps Perth recently put on this purple and rose gold 45th birthday celebration for her mum, Kim. In true Sassy Snaps style, the party was beautifully imbued with love and meaning. Carly created the ‘She’s a gem!’ theme, as a lovely dedication to her mama, and it was stunning! Carly gives us the details of the celebration below.

She’s a Gem, Kim is turning 45!: A purple and rose gold 45th birthday celebration

After missing out on a 40th celebration, I wanted to put a little spread together to celebrate my mum’s 45th birthday. She has gone above and beyond for me this year and I wanted to show how grateful I was for her. With that in mind, I came up with the ‘She’s a Gem‘ theme the week before and contacted my favourite vendors to help me out with an urgent order.

We started with a small boho setting with shades of purple in the backyard overlooking the Perth hills, at sunset. Wanting to try and eliminate some of the more rustic elements of the location I strung up a streamer backdrop where the fence was and attached a balloon garland to it to create a backdrop, as well as some 45 foil balloons for those birthday vibes.

The table setting was made complete with the gorgeous partyware sourced through Favor Lane Party Boutique, and some sweet treats provided by Cakes2Celebrate. To top it off with those gem vibes, I contacted Emily from XOXO Designs for the rose gold acrylic cake topper and drink chips which brought the concept to life.

Our rose gold bar cart was set up as food and drinks, with some lemon-lime bitters, bubbly, chicken and salad spread out. As the sun set, the fairy lights came on and we captured some fun photos of the birthday girl. She appreciated the setup and styling, and it’s a great way to commemorate another year. So grateful to have her in our lives, and to do such a small thing for a loved one.
