A beautiful location, gorgeous styling, and a stunningly beautiful kids party! That is how I describe this magical unicorn party by Glamacamp Tent Events in Noosa. The colour scheme for the party was Cotton Candy Pink and Apricot, which look so good together! Lisa from Glamacamp Tent Events takes us through the details below.

There’s nothing quite as enchanting as a magical Unicorn Party!

As the children arrived, they were greeted with the spectacular sight of the set-up. The tent with the golden unicorn head emerged from the natural wildness of the bush in our backyard. The Frame photography led the children in a fanciful direction, guiding them through the adventure, capturing their reactions along the way.

‘This is what dreams are made of’, said the parents as the children rushed forward to meet our star of the show, Cherry. She is a unicorn from the Sunshine Coast’s premier horse modelling agency, Your Mane Event. She emerges elegantly crowned and adorned in fresh cut flowers specially made for her that morning by Rambling Rose Cooroy. Cherry looks nothing short of a magical delight, and she was an instant hit with both the children and parents alike. They all rushed forward to give her a cuddle and a pat. So cute, and made my heart melt!

The party was styled to create a glamorous exploratory playground for the children to enjoy. It was furnished with luxury details that are made for a celebration to remember! The Glamacamp style has an adventurous spirit, layered with textures and fabrics in soft colours for a magical experience. Peachy pinks and cotton candy with detailed highlights in brass and gold feature.

The picnic table was set up on a gorgeous vintage aqua Turkish rug. The solid wooden French country style table with large marshmallow cushions as seats. Vintage English fine bone china laid on an antique French country kitchen table cloth. The napkins held childhood memories for me, wrapped with the edible necklaces I can remember enjoying as a kid. There were also personalised name tags for each place setting. These were designed together with invitations, thank you, food tags and signage as part of a signature stationary set.

Delicious sweet treats were everywhere for all the children to enjoy! Unicorn biscuits, unicorn donuts and that magical unicorn party cake sat front and centre in the middle of the table. All of the desserts were created the fabulous SweetP Cakes and Cookies. A true visionary delight –almost too good to eat!

For the main food, I asked Journey Street food to create a presentation delight as adventurous as our own setups. An exotic, fresh and healthy 3 tier tower of creative yumminess to be shared all. Fruit skewers, cheeses, crackers, dips, rice paper rolls with decorative edible flowers, bliss balls, with a few extra little treats.

Emily’s magical unicorn party

Aaah unicorn parties! We never tire of them! Plus, it’s now official. Unicorn ain’t going anywhere. It is now so firmly cemented in the ‘party rites of passage’ that EVERY little kid is going to be getting one within the first three years of their lives. Guaranteed! Now, I will let mummy Pascale continue the story of cute little Emily’s magical unicorn party and her unicorn love!

Emily’s magical unicorn party

I just love planning parties for my family and I had a lot of fun organising my daughter’s unicorn themed 5th birthday.

My daughter’s obsession with unicorns started while we were on holidays in Europe last year. All the shops were filled with magical unicorns and rainbows. From clothes to stationery and plush toys, Emily just loved it all. So when asked what theme she would like for her birthday this year, it was only natural for her to choose a unicorn party. I must admit I was quite excited about the idea of styling the perfect unicorn party for Emily’s 5th birthday and envisioned a party filled with colourful pastel hues and tasty treats.

I came across Norman the unicorn (we want him too!) on social media and thought what better way to celebrate in full unicorn style than have a real unicorn at the party? Norman surely made an impression on all the guests, both children and adults.

From dealing with some amazing vendors to finding the perfect venue with a playground and an outdoor area big enough for a pony ride, the whole planning experience for this party was great. The Old Cheese Factory was a perfect venue, as not only was it local, but it also had an actual paddock that was ideal for our guests to meet Norman the Unicorn.

Daniella from Eve & Co. Stationery designed the most beautiful invitations and party hat, and Choco Bliss made matching unicorn foam signage that was used in front of the lolly cart. As for the cake, the most important part of any birthday party, it was a chocolate mud cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and assorted unicorn cupcakes
with rainbow buttercream frosting created by Yum-mammas.

When it comes to throwing a kid’s party, you must ensure that you have planned it well enough to keep children constantly entertained and face painting is sure to be a big crowd pleaser. Antonella from Face Painting Melbourne did a great job at keeping the children engaged. The best thing about face painting is that it is suitable for kids of all ages and interests. While most of the girls opted for beautiful unicorn designs, boys picked their favourite superhero character.

Unicorn photo props purchased on eBay were a fun way of getting guests into the party mood, and Etsy worked a treat for finding easy DIY unicorn products like chocolate wrappers, bottle labels and lolly bags that I purchased as a file and then printed.

Planning my daughter’s birthday every year is a special time. I absolutely love coming up with different themes, and seeing her face light up means the world to me. She is already thinking about what the theme will be for next year!

Celebrating national unicorn day!

So our whole schedule was thrown out today upon finding out it was National Unicorn Day! So in honour of the day, here they are… our favourite unicorn parties!

Ruby’s Unicorn Party
This bright, fun and shiny unicorn party was curated and styled by the team from This Little Party. This included supply of decorations from their party store, hire of the furniture and the table set up. I’m in love with the foil balloon and fringe backdrop …it’s so disco!

Sleepy Unicorn

Stars and Unicorns 
This party is close to our heart, as it was our little muse’s first birthday party back in 2015! The party was a simple stars and unicorns theme with pink, yellow, blue and purple.

The Black Tropical Unicorn Soiree

Today, a very talented stylist, Tica, all the way from Florida, talks to us about her Black Unicorn party. I loved the inspiration behind this. Read on for more.

The Black Unicorn Soiree with a topical flair came about because Unicorns may not be real, but the unicorn trend definitely is!

We all have seen the Unicorn theme all over social media, as unicorn-everything is seemingly everywhere. It’s all the rave right now for the kids and even adult celebrations. This trend has taken the world by storm.

But we wanted to do something just a little different from the traditional pastel or bright Unicorn colours.

Lately, we’ve noticed a difference in trends; going from bright and pastel to tropical, and now a moodier dark floral trend is arising! So we thought why not pair the two? Dark Tropical and Unicorns. This is where the theme came together – The Black Tropical Unicorn. We got all the best vendors to come together to bring our vision alive – ‘our team’, and came alive it did, spectacularly!

The shoot was so fun and unique. Hope you guys love it as much as we did putting it together.
