Brooklyn's bright first birthday

Oh my goodness! Isn’t little Brooklyn the cutest little bub? If you’re a big-time party lover, you may have already seen her gracing the Insta-account of Glistening Occasions. Kyrie, the talented lady behind it all, is her mama! Kyrie beautifully put together this very cute DIY bright first birthday to celebrate the milestone, of course, laser cutting some special goodies for the day!

We really loved how it was all put together so we reached out to find out if we could blog it!

Inspiration for the pastel first birthday started with balloons. Being a master of cake toppers, Kyrie’s vision was to put together a cake topper decorated with balloons to set the tone of the party (Glistening Occasions also take custom orders in addition to their standard range).

The topper’s colour scheme was continued on the signage, which had a cool layered text effect and a border of bright hearts – made with love for the birthday bub!

Kyrie even made the balloon garland herself, which matched really well with the sign and the cake topper.

The painted buttercream cake was also made by Kyrie (wow!). The cupcakes, cookies and macarons were made by Fika For Days

Surprise! The sprinkles were from Something for Cake

Kyrie got them made in white which she then painted with Sweet Sticks Edible Art Paint. The cookies were stamped with custom Glistening Occasions stamp to match the signage as well.

The birthday girl celebrated with her very own personalised mini SUV!

I really like this idea for parties. Start with a blank (white) canvas – and build it from there. You could really come up with something special like Kyrie did!
