Carrie-Ann of Carrie-Ann Tilley Bespoke Event Styling recently styled a modern and chic baby welcome affair with a safari jungle theme. In short, it was exquisite! The party was a jungle theme Welcome to the World Party (or more specifically, ‘Welcome to the Wild’), and it was totally luxe with a colour scheme of green, gold, grey and nude.
What is a Welcome to the World Party?
A Welcome to the World party is a soiree that is hosted after the birth of a child, allowing loved ones to come and see baby all in one hit. Another name for this is the ‘Sip and see’ (mainly US).
As Carrie-Ann tells us, “Welcome to the world parties are a great way to celebrate the birth of a new member of the family. Gathering friends and loved ones in one place, on one day, increases the amount of quality time that you can spend with your new arrival, undisturbed!” We totally agree!

“We wanted to create a gender-neutral colour scheme with a sophisticated colour palette of gold, nude, grey and green”, Carrie-Ann said. She continues, “these colours were incorporated into our ‘Welcome to the Wild’ theme using wild animals figures alongside candy floss cocktails and balloon table runners alongside gold cutlery”.
The beautiful dessert arrangement.
A stunning floral arrangement for the fireplace.
