We love a cactus themed party! Especially when it is styled with a gorgeous twist – in this case, the addition of terracotta makes for a truly unique look. We also love this Auntie’s passion to bring her little niece a beautiful party despite the dreaded lockdowns. Read on for more.
Quaran-Cactus Backyard party – a Cactus themed party
Victoria, the stylist behind this soiree gives us the details of this beautiful and unique take on a popular theme.
It’s been a pretty wild time we’re all going through. Emotions are high. My niece is only 6. She understands everything but not exactly. She tries to and she was ok with not having a party this year. That didn’t sit well with me. This little girl has been pulled out of school and has had her entire world turned upside down. I had to find a way to celebrate her.
Lea loves cactii, particularly the round ones. I wanted to focus on a feminine cactus event that maintained a modern feel and aesthetic. I love the pairing of terracotta with almost anything but especially with sage and pink. The beautiful plates came from a little market and were the inspiration for the whole look of the lunch.
There’s nothing that makes me happier than a pretty tablescape so I focused on details. cactus shot glasses, Pink Himalayan salt shot glasses, sage drinking glasses, terra cotta bowls.
The florals from Paval Floral were absolutely stunning and fit the vision perfectly. I couldn’t have dreamt it up better.
Shana Sharp of Sharp balloons provided the amazing balloon cactus. The food from Heirloom was delicious and on theme.
Janice Wong never disappoints me with her desserts. She made the cutest cactus macaroons and rose gold drip cake. I had two slices. At the end of the day, my niece was smiling. She was happy. She felt celebrated and that’s all I wanted. Hope this inspires you to have a little backyard birthday. We all need a little love.
Well said Victoria, a perfect sentiment.
