We challenged 23 talented party vendors to design a party inspired by a USA location.

Set in September took their idea outside the box with a wedding proposal inspired by Jazz music, with lots of florals, moody lightning and a whole lot of romantic vibes!

What made you choose your shoot location for United States of Party?

My love for Jazz and romance – Chicago was the perfect fit for this genre!

What inspired your shoot?

Proposal setups are quite trendy at the moment, I was inspired to use this setup and incorporate Chicago’s jazz vibes that captivates this city. Bringing Chicago to Sydney, the colours were inspired by the interior of a typical jazz bar being black, red and gold. The cake for the shoot depicted the city skyline and was perfect to celebrate the newly engaged couple with immediate family. Overall we wanted to achieve a captivating, classy and unique setup just like the city itself.

Did you incorporate any current party trends or DIYs in your shoot? If yes, what were they?

We used a live dual band for this proposal as it’s a current party and wedding trend. Neon light, floral installations on modern props and custom made cookies were also included and all party trends of 2019.
