We challenged 23 talented party vendors to design a party inspired by a USA location.

Against the backdrop of nature, Superb Event Styling created a stunning wedding scene, inspired by the tropical beauty of Hawaii.

What made you choose Hawaii for United States of Party?

I wanted to do something on the beach. I was able to find this amazing restaurant called Zimzala in Cronulla (in Sydney), right on the beach. They saw my vision and wanted to be a part of this beautiful
set-up. The blue water, the sandy beach and the shining sun all had to be part of the shoot.

What inspired your shoot?

My inspiration was summer. I love sand, water and sun. When I saw that Hawaii was one of the themes to pick from, I just had to do it. I’ve always wanted to do some styling along the beach or close to it, so this was my opportunity. I also wanted to style a wedding incorporating green and gold, and this really suited the Hawaiian theme. Green was representing the beautiful rainforest and gold representing the sun.

Did you incorporate any current party trends or DIYs in your shoot? If yes, what were they?

The biggest trend was the use of gold, which is a current trend and goes well with any other colour. The green and gold worked very nicely together on the beach with the sun, sand and water.
