Young, wild and three doesn’t always have to be boho and rustic. Sometimes it can be pretty and delicate. Today Theresa, a mum from the US who also runs a party supply store, talks us through her party styling for her twins’ third birthday.

Having a set of twins with not much in common makes party planning ten times harder!

From the start however, I knew I wanted to do a unique theme and incorporate lots of flowers. I picked 2 main colours, mint and pink, and really tried to stick with a theme that would complement those. I finally decided on a “Young, wild, and three” party.

Along with having a unique theme, I also wanted the food to be different to what was normally served at kids birthdays. So, we had a complete build-your-own taco bar set-up!

I also included a dessert bar with cake, cupcakes, marshmallows, and strawberry parfaits.

For favours, I had floral crowns from Abbie Avenue for the girls and gold crowns for the boys.
