Tropical flamingo dedication party

Oh, happy day! It’s Jessica’s dedication day (a dedication is a special ceremony that dedicates a child to and welcomes the baby into the church). We wanted to celebrate Jessica being dedicated with a fabulously fun and colourful celebration! Think pink and coral – bright and bold!

Party guests were greeted at the entrance with a colourful lei. A ball pit all dressed up like a swimming pool, with a bright pink flamingo to say ‘aloha’ really set the scene.

The highlight was definitely the incredible balloon installation using a mix of coral, pink, and gold balloons, with a sprinkling of foliage to really hit that tropical vibe.

A gorgeous table setting laid waiting for the little ones to enjoy all the tropical fun! We created a summery menu including islander pulled pork sliders, pineapple fudge squares, and mini magnums.

The shows-topper of a cake was two tiers of white chocolate mud cake with layers of passionfruit ganache, all topped off with a golden pineapple. We couldn’t resist including a fabulous flamingo doughnut board which was a definite hit with all the party guests!

Like a flamingo, we wanted to stand out from the crowd and do something a little different. I do love the style for most christenings and baptisms, however, on this occasion I wanted to do something a little edgier. We also wanted Jessica’s first party to represent all her best qualities. Little Jessica is sociable, spirited and warm.
