Tyler’s Illustrated Farm Party

Welcome to Tyler’s Illustrated Farm Party! This gorgeous 4th birthday affair was decorated with a wonderful vintage colour scheme of black, white, blue with floral greens and rustic browns. This party sounds so dreamy! Stylist Johanna Leigh gives us the story.

A 4th birthday illustrated farm party

This party was designed around Tyler’s love for animals and his creative side especially drawing. Thus, the illustrated theme for Tyler was developed and we worked around this concept. We started by creating custom illustrated characters, which the Brooklin Paper Co. brought to life beautifully. These illustrations were used throughout the design of the party.

We strategically chose our location at the local zoo. Within the zoo, we selected the location next to the ponies. This allowed the children to visit and feed them popcorn during the day. The table was adorned with a topper was made of gift wrapping paper, created via Spoonflower and placed on the white farm tables provided by Plate Occasions.

We customised miniature crayons to spell out “Tyler is 4” and placed them throughout the table to allow the kids to colour the table topper. We also threw in some vineyard wood kids chairs and added wood-like reusable/disposable plates, to keep things eco-friendly and safe for the farm! The black was tied in through the reusable plastic twig cutlery and design on the table topper. We filled the tent with various leaves of greenery and pops of black balloons to give it a wow factor.

To incorporate a take-home gift from Tyler to his little friends, we created custom calligraphed miniature origami pigs, which act as a place card and fridge magnet. This provided a take-home memory of Tyler’s party as well as it added a touch of colour to the table.
