What did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a singer or model – unfortunately I am a terrible singer and I’m only 5’1! I do love karaoke nights out with friends.

What made you start your business?
After high school, I studied Business and Events Management. During graduation, we were asked where we saw ourselves in 10 years – I jokingly said ‘running my own Event Company’. Having worked in corporate events, I loved planning my own wedding as I was able to use my creative side and it was nice to hear how much my guests loved everything. I soon decided it was time to turn my passion and love for events into a reality and Belle & Bow Events was born.

What’s the most outlandish job/party you’ve ever done?
I had a client that had a vision for her wedding reception venue: she wanted it to look like a “party on a private island” – brightly coloured lanterns with lights. There may have been a scratch and bruise or 2 but hours of draping the festoon lights and 100 lanterns later, the end result absolutely nailed the bride’s vision. The bride and groom were so happy with how it looked, which as an event stylist makes it all worth it.

What would be your ideal party?
It would have to be an evening beach party with delicious food, flowing drinks and awesome music to dance the night away with my family and bestest friends. And we can’t forget lots of cake!!!

What makes your business unique?
I believe that every client and every party is unique, so I get to know my clients and ask all the right questions to ensure I can create something special that they will love.

What do you love most about your work?
Working with great suppliers and meeting new clients. I love getting to know people, knowing their stories. I feel good knowing that my client has given me their blessing to execute their vision and look after all the things they don’t have to worry about anything at their party, so they can enjoy themselves.

Who do you admire and why?
I am so incredibly lucky to have an amazing family and beautiful friends. I admire each and every one of them for not only putting up with my crazy ideas, giving me advice, carrying heavy things (mainly my husband!) but for constantly supporting me and my dream.
